Lightsabers Will Keep Us Alive

Google Buzz

When I was a kid, I have been hearing the word Lightsabers but I didn’t know what it absolutely was. When I hear that word, I think of flashlights. I was partially right. A Lightsaber is a fictional sword used by the Jedi order in the Star Wars movies. It ordinarily features a metal handle that can easily project a blade of plasma energy. I would like to think that it is more potent than the true variety of sword if there was real one. But come to think of it, if a person doesn’t know how to use it, then it most likely can be as useless as a flashlight in the middle of a war.

I have always believed that no matter what you are holding, provided that you’ve heard of how to use it to defend oneself, it will likely be your strongest and effective weapon against the opponent. Am I sounding like a Jedi now? Well anyone could be a Jedi now that Lightsabers have happened to be made available to the public by means of stores that specialize on movie replica equipment and props.

Occasionally I even consider that one could make a lot of money putting up a shop that specializes in movie memorabilias and prop replicas. There are lots of movie replica aficionados who are willing to shell out hundreds to thousands of dollars to own an item similar to the props that were used in movies that made it a massive hit. A lot are generally even selling or auctioning off the true props that were used in the movie itself. A lot of are auctioned off for charity and other superior causes and a number are auctioned off just for personal gain.

I completely realize the fulfillment derived from having a useless Lightsaber hanging around the house. It gives you bragging rights. The mere fact that you own a thing that nobody else in the neighborhood has is something to be very proud of. Maybe it’s kind of worthless to others but to you, it’s worth just about every dollar you saved from skipping lunch just to get hold of this Lightsaber.

Just to give you a better understanding regarding the different color coding of the Lightsabers as you will find it in the movies, a blue or cyan Lightsaber means it belongs to a Jedi Guardian or a Jedi Weapon Master. Yellow, bronze or orange ones fit in with a Jedi Sentinel or a Jedi Watchman. The green, silver and viridian ones belong to the Jedi Consulars and the Jedi Masters. A red one belongs to any class of Sith.

It’s funny how you would find a lot of Star Wars fans fight over the real meaning or symbolisms of Lightsaber colors from its owners. Some even get into serious word fights in different online forum discussions about Star Wars gadgets, weapons and other stuff. I really don’t mind them arguing over the silliest things but sometimes it can get out of hand. They are arguing how a Jedi should be selected as if they were part of a council. My final notes are if these people were given Lightsabers, they’d probably end up slicing each other over an argument that should never have been for real to start with.
